According to forecasts of High Tech Computer (HTC), their income is expected to grow by 23 percent to 1.45 billion dollars, thanks to the recently announced, Android-based T-Mobile G1 handset. Considering the whole year, the company's forecast reports a growth of 29%, so the company's whole turnover might increase from 3.82 billion dollars in 2007 to 4.53 billion dollars. A main factor of this event has been the success of HTC Touch Diamond. Hui-ming Cheng, CFO of HTC has emphasized that not only the gross revenue is great, but the profit as well. The manufacturer had a 34.2 percent rate of profit in Q3 this year, which is a small setback compared to the 34.5 percent rate in the previous period, but it's also a small increase compared to the 33.4 percent rate from last year. The manufacturer expects great sucesses for 2009, as they foresee a profit rate of about 30% and an estimated increase of 33 percent.
