The Japanese-Swedish manufacturer announced its global environmental protection strategy, an important part of which is the "GreenHeart" concept that involves the life-cycle of handsets. The model you can see below has its case made of biodegradable, a keyboard made of recycled materials and a low-consumption interior. The box, made of recycled paper has a 3.5 mW consumption environment friendly charger and no usual paper manuals, but the small CD will have a multilingual HTML user guide besides the drivers. In the opinion of Sony Ericsson it's not enough to launch a couple of environmental friendly devices, but the whole functioning of the company has to be remade, but another important thing is to properly inform the users. Sony Ericsson currently collects used phones and batteries only in India, China, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Mexico and the Unites States, but in the course of the nexy year their recycling stations will be available worldwide.
