Android OS might get a new name

The Android operating system, watched over by Google and the Open Handset Alliance, seems to be forced to change its name soon, as the Android name has been trademarked in 2002. Erich Specht, head of Android Data Corporation and the owner of the Android brand name, has filed a lawsuit against Google, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Intel, Motorola, Samsung and many other partner companies for illegally using the brand name. At the same time of course Google's request for trademark registration has been rejected, while Erich Sprecht would also like to have Google's operating system's name changed, which can be easily confounded with the website remote controlling software, developed by him.
