Gianfranco Lanci, CEO of Acer has officially confirmed that their company plans to launch many Android-based products. One of the most important features of Google's open and free operating system is that it offers many online services ready to use, so the manufacturers don't have to spend millions on developing and operating their own online solutions. According to the leader the whole market is watching Android, but his company is currently not planning to launch netbooks with Android, as he think that the platform is a perfect mobile communication and internet tool, but he's not convinced that it would be good as the main operating system of a traditional computer. Meanwhile, HP has confirmed that for the time being they are testing the potentials of the system. The first Google Android device has been distributed by T-Mobile and although the sales have been far behind of iPhone's success, the one million sold copies are a nice result in the life of a completely new system.
