A usable watch phone

Hirdetés

It looks like there still are new ideas for making mini-phones. The MW2 watch phone, designed by Van Der Led, is a really elegant piece. The device is built up of two parts: a strap containing the keypad and a touchscreen mobile unit. The keypad on the strap offers easy data entry when wearing the watch, while the touchscreen offers full functionality even when the strap is taken off. The phone has a 1.3" touchscreen with 262 thousand colors and a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels, which also functions as the viewfinder fir the 1.3 megapixel camera. The watch can signal incoming calls with vibration and discrete flashing too, which uses seven colors for differentiating callers. The 1GB internal memory, stereo FM radio and stereo Bluetooth transfer are real treats, just like the 5 hours talk time and 240 hours of standby time. The only downside of the device might be its size, as the 62 x 45.5 x 17.6 mm large device can no way be called small. The watch phone is available from April 14, at a price of 299 EUR, which includes a Bluetooth headset.
