NXP Semiconductors has announced the world's fastest modem that works on high-speed mobile networks. Nexperia Cellular System Solution PNX6910 can be capable of up to 150 megabit download and 50 megabit upload speeds, which is of course possible only on 4th generation LTE (Long Term Evolution) networks. Besides LTE, the modem also supports HSPA (HSDPA and HSUPA), UMTS (3G), EDGE, GPRS and GSM too, to put it short it supports every data transfer method possible. PNX6910 might be the key of fast internet access in the future, as with it we can watch even online HD movies anywhere. Access of online multimedia and WEB 2.0 services will be the foundation of future mobile devices. Most cell phone manufacturers have voted on LTE, which, as a successor of GSM, EDGE, WCDMA (3G) and HSPA networks, might bring about the revolution of mobile internet.
