Asus R700 - Niiice!

Besides navigation, R700 can also be used for video and music playback, we can view our photos on it and it can also function as a Bluetooth car handsfree. These all work without problem. The navi has the feature to work as an FM transmitter, broadcasting navigation or our call partner’s voice to the car ratio. If you’re perverted enough, you might even try broadcasting music. Due to the transmission capacity it is completely legal, but we will never have such a quality as in case of a wired connection.

R700 has the same, changeable 1300 mAh battery that R300 had, which is compatible with the one in P525 too. A bonus point goes for interchangeability, compatibility and operating time, as it stays online for quite a long time with one charge.

The navi costs just a bit over 355 EUR at the moment of writing this review. And it ships with iGO8, full Europe map, a nice case, high quality display and a fine interior, so it’s not a bad offer at all. On the other hand we only have the uncertainty of map updates. Taking everything into consideration R700 is worthy of a “Recommended” award, just like its little brother. The few days spent together were a really pleasant experience. Keep it up Asus!
