After a long wait the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 smartphone will be available in the United States as well, which is the first Windows Mobile handset from the manufacturer and it even has a 800 x 480 (WVGA) touchscreen, a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, GPS, WLAN and HSPA support. The handset, to be launched on November 28, can be already preordered at sonystyle.com at a price of $799.99. The handset, known for its customizable display with nine panels, will have a hard time with becoming successful at this price, as one can acquire models with similar features at a lower price from HTC, although the materials used in those and their design is inferior to Sony Ericsson's metallic slider.
