Vertu Boucheron 150: Distorted luxury

Hirdetés

The image of the perfect luxury mobile changes from person to person. There are manufacturers who have no problem cutting out a thousand years old ebony tree, just to offer "pure luxury", using a couple of grams of it. According to sources Vertu Boucheron 150, pictured below, is made for the 150. birthday of the French Boucheron jewelery house in a single issue. The "photo" of the handset and its wooden-boxed design plan are made on a computer and the phone is not mentioned neither on the Boucheron, nor on the Vertu site. The bit amorphous creation seems mostly as if a beginner photo editor would have used a kind of grid distortion effect on a previous Veru model, but many sources say that the handset is real and there has been lot of work with it. Carving the phone, made of a single block of gold, took 1000 hours of work, which has been followed by 700 hours of polishing and 500 hours of assembly, which practically means 9 months of work with 8 hours per day. If the product does exist than this Vertu phone will be the most bizarre and one of the most expensive handsets that have ever been made by the manufacturer.
