Toshiba-Matsushita 3D display

Hirdetés

Toshiba Matsushita Display has announced at CES their latest 3D display, which needs no special display or lenticular lens in order to create real three-dimensioanl pictures on portable devices. OCB (Optically Compensated Bend) displays, developed by Toshiba Matsushita, are faster than classical TFT displays and furthermore they can display 3D images without distortion, by making use of the full resolution of the screen. The 3" and 9" high-resolution panels don't use lens and glasses, but appropriately controlled different background lights and there is no need for precision solutions in order to join them, so using the new technology is much cheaper than for example joining lenticular lenses that divide screen resolution by seven or nine. Another advantage of OCB screens is that they can be used both in 2D and 3D modes at the same resolution.
