Nokia announced their phone update, 6300i, that now has WLAN support. The handset with a 2" 240 x 320 pixel large TFT display, 2 Mpix camera and FM radio is capable of making VoIP calls through WLAN networks, besides standard GSM calls. The device ships with a 512MB microSD card, from which can listen to music even with a stereo Bluetooth headset. Unfortunately the handset is not 3G-enabled, so we have good old EDGE (class 32) and WLAN (802.11 b/g) for data transfer. The phone is not limited to VoIP calls with WLAN, but we can use it for browsing the we and to download applications too. The phone with a size of 106.8 x 43 x 13.1 mm and a weight of 93 grams will only be available in graphite color from the middle of the year, at an expected price of 175 EUR.
