New accessories for microUSB

Hirdetés

During the last couple of years we have finally achieved that the larger manufacturers have also gave up developing their own connectors and in terms of sound the 3.5 mm jack became the standard, while the USB port is the winner for data transfer. There are some ambitions to use the USB port for charging and transferring sound and data, but this would mean serious downsides, even more when someone would like to charge its phone or connect it to a computer and talk through a handset at the same time. Anyway, USB is more and more used for data and power connections, Motorola being the leader in this matter, even on its cheaper phones. Nowadays most phones have a miniUSB connector, but at this year's Mobile World Congress it became quite clear that this will be changed to the more durable and smaller microUSB standard in the future. The introduction of the new standard won't be really easy, but with the help of a miniUSB-microUSB converter, pictured below, previous chargers and data cables will be usable with new phones as well.
