Motorola announced its slider, designed for people with an active lifestyle, a phone, which makes use of all possibilities provided by a gyroscope. The step counter is of course a default function, which comes with a personal trainer application and many games that make the user do some workout, jump, or dance. Incoming calls can be muted easily by turning the phone upside down, and the same motion activates snooze when the alarm goes off and it also pauses the music player. By shaking the phone we can launch a user-defined function, while by moving the phone suddenly from one side to the other we can switch between music tracks and the gallery. The 99 x 45 x 15 mm large Motorola W7, weighing 105 grams, features a 2.2", 240 x 320 pixels large display, a 2 megapixel camera, HSDPA and EDGE support, stereo Bluetooth, 30 MB of internal memory and a microSD slot. The handset will first be available in Asia and some Latin-American regions in June at the latest.
