One of the hotshots of HTC planned to be launched this year, Touch Diamond, has been recently visiting us and its user interface didn't really prove to be too fast. This performance issue has of course touched the developer community on the web and xda-developers has made the "Elite 1.0" ROM available, which, thanks to the newer version of .NET Compact Framework, provides HSUPA support too, besides the performance increase. The update is of course unofficial, so anyone should be using it on his or her own responsibility. Those who like the official methods better could also be lucky, as the new HTC Touch Diamond models come with a patched software, which is although not as fast as Elite, but they mean a significant boost anyway.
