HTC has announced at a press conference in Taiwan that recently announced HTC Diamond might be launched at the end of June, at an expected price of $772 USD. The manufacturer has great hopes of the handset, as they are planning to ship not less than two million pieces this year, which seems a huge number for an expensive premium phone. Of course it has everything required for success: 2.8" display with 480 x 640 pixels resolution, 3.2 Mpix camera with autofocus, 528 MHz CPU, GPS, 7.2 megabit HSDPA, WLAN, stereo Bluetooth, 4 GB internal memory, Windows Mobile Professional 6.1 operating system and the superb TouchFLO 3D user interface. The only question is that if the 900 mAh battery will be capable of supplying power for an adequate time and if the customers will be annoyed by the lack of memory expandability.
