Normally, operator branding is simply the case of putting an operator logo on a handset, and adding operator-exclusive themes and wallpapers. This is not the case however, for HTC's Diamond handset - it will have an identical twin of sorts – the MDA Compact IV, with the addition of a full QWERTY keyboard, and the designing on the back of the handset is more smooth compared to the rigid lines on the regular Diamond handset. The phone weighs 58 grams, has a 480 x 640 display, a 528 MHz CPU, 256 MB RAM, built-in GPS receiver, Bluetooth and WLAN support, stereo FM radio and a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera. The handset is expected to be announced in June by HTC and T-Mobile.
