OpenMoko's first model, Neo1973, has been available for a long time, so it's successor has been expected to be coming soon. The new device, nicknamed FreeRunner, has a 500 MHz ARM9 processor, which is running a completely open-source, Linux-based operating system, in the company of 128 MB of RAM and 256 MB of ROM that can be expanded with a microSD card. The tri-band GSM phone supports WiFi (802.11 b/g) and Bluetooth, and it also has a-GPS. The handset with a size of 120.7 x 61.9 x 18.5 mm and a weight of 185 grams has a 2.8" 480 x 640 pixel large touchscreen. OpenMoko FreeRunner will have a price-tag of 399 USD, but in case you'd like ten or more of it, there is a special price of €369.
