Cheapest touchscreen Nokia on a 20-minute video

The Finnish manufacturer has recently launched a new touchscreen model, which has been completely uncovered upon the launch of the first developer infos. Nokia 5530 features Symbian Series 60 Touch and a metalic front panel, and based on the 20 minute long video below it has finally received the kinetic scrolling routine and thanks to its gyroscope it can automatically switch between the standard keypad and the virtual QWERTY keyboard, while the musical control keys are also part of the base software. The phone comes with a  stylus, but fortunately we won't have to use it frequently, and besides  the multimedia menu button on the front there is a distance sensor as well, which automatically deactivates the toucshcreen during calls if it detects the phone being close to our face.

We can display up to 20 of our favorite contacts on the standby screen and by tapping any picture we can see the last calls, messages or even Facebook messages. The handset, featuring a 2.9", 640 x 360 pixels large AFFS toucshcreen, can play videos at the same resolution, but, as opposed to the original press release, the official data sheet states that the 3.2 megapixel camera with a LED flash can record only 176 x 220 pixels large videos. Nokia 5530 XpressMusic, sporting a 434 MHz ARM11 CPU, stereo speakers, WLAN and stereo Bluetooth support, a microUSB port, a 3.5 mm headset jack, FM radio,  EDGE  class 32 support (296 kilobit download and 177 kilobit upload) and a 1,000 mAh battery, is coming in the following months at a net price of 199 euros.
