The BdEmailer application is now available from the online App Store, providing POP3/SMTP emailing. The software has no special functions, but it's still worth thinking about it, as the new application practically infringes the Apple developer kit license agreement, which states that it's prohibited to develop services that are similar to those already offered by the Apple software. Apple has previously declined MailWrangler and Podcaster for the same reason and this is why they didn't start accepting Opera Software and Opera Mini. Still, BdEmailer has somehow reached the online store. It is now quite hard to understand why does Apple let pass or decline applications that offer similar features. It might be that the american company has become more permissive or it might be just accidental that BdEmailer passed the filter. The question will probebly left unanswered for a long time, but if more similar "license ifringer" will appear on AppSotre, that might mean that Opera Mini and other similar applications will become available on the world's most hyped handset.
