The first Android handset is coming soon and Android Market will be in charge of supplying it with applications. The online store, planned by Google, is much different in structure than Apple's AppStore, as Google struggles to be as open as possible, just like in other areas. There will be no special procedures or software check required, one just has to simply register, upload the application and create an appropriate descirption. After this users can rate the apps, just like on YouTube, so inappropriate ones will get spotted soon. The first, beta version of Android Market supports only downloading, but later on it will of course be opened up for developers too.
