The image quality of the recently announced Samsung INNOV8 is almost as good as of the ultracompact digital cameras, although optical zoom is still missing. Or we can say that it has been missing, as the new camera module announced by the South-Korean manufacturer has a 1/2.5" 8 megapixel image sensor and 3X optical zoom. The manufacturer pointed out that the camera, being barely larger than the 5 megapixel edition, has a 57% better performance than its prdecessor.
