PIM and games
We have the usual calendar at the organizer functions. There’s no big trouble with it, we can record one type of event (I especially like this), it can alarm repeatedly, has month and week views and warns of conflicts. The alarm clock is also the usual, the default alarm clock sound is rather pleasant as it starts with some fine music and then it slowly gets more tough so it makes sure we get up.
The stopwatch, the countdown timer and the code memory are all the usual ones, but I have been surprised by the calculator being renewed. Unfortunately not as it should have been, as there are still no scientific functions, but the unit converter is now included in the calculator, so the application can be used for such tasks at the press of a button. Still, it won’t convert currencies, just lengths, areas, volumes and temperatures.
The list of applications includes a world clock with a globe display, Photo Mate which explains some basic photography techniques and expressions in English, and we also have AccuWeather, which tries to forecast weather via the Internet. Besides the previously mentioned “Slideshow Wall” Wayfinder can be launched from there too, but we’ll talk about it in more detail later.
There are three, rather high-quality games on the phones. We could have seen the first version of Tennis Multiplayer on K700i, now we can challenge even our friends via Bluetooth. As usual I have been defeated even by the weakest computer opponent; well, it’s no Wii… I think Need For Speed ProStreet needs no introduction, while the name of the third game is Kasparov Chess. This needs even less explanations, but anyway; Kasparov is a guy who is a professional player of the game called chess. I, however, beat the computer without problems on the easiest difficulty and since one should end it on the top, I didn’t try other levels.
