Menu system, software
The handset is based on the Nokia Series40 platform; fortunately it has the full version so there is active standby. I can’t say much about it, it’s fast and reliable, it’s transparent and has all the features one would expect of a phone at such a price.
The menu system has a grid layout; we have 3 x 3 icons displayed on a screen. Those who had an S40 Nokia will probably find no new stuff in the menus at all, but let’s see what’s inside. In the gallery we can view our photos and videos and we can even access our music too. The media part has the camera, the music player, Yahoo! Go, the radio, the equalizer and the voice recorder, which can record up to 1 hour. The Organizer has the alarm clock that works even the phone is turned off, there is the to-do list, the calendar with month/week/day views, the notepad, the basic calculator, the countdown timer and the stopwatch.
There are two games and eight other software at applications, the previous ones are minesweeper and Sudoku. The applications are Download!, Flickr, Search, Sensor, Size converter (cloth size converter, evidently for the ladies), WidSets and world clock. This means there’s not unit- and currency converter.
