It has been revealed previously that the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system will feature Widget support, but no exact details have been revealed yet. Windows Mobile Widget is in fact nothing else than an application created with web technologies (HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript), which doesn't only offer quick access to a part of online contents, but thanks to the full Flash and ActiveX contents it can practically work as a full application. Microsoft's Widget solution is completely different from those previously seen, as the mini software have their own shortcuts, they can be seen in the task manager and they can fully access the menu, just like an ordinary application. The widget platform of Windows Mobile 6.5 implements the mobile solutions of the W3C standard, so it's not very likely that there will be a crossover between the desktop Windows Vista and Windows 7 solutions.
