Microsoft's Widget solution is completely different from those previously seen, as the mini software have their own shortcuts, they can be seen in the task manager and they can fully access the menu, just like an ordinary application. The widget platform of Windows Mobile 6.5 implements the mobile solutions of the W3C standard, so it's not very likely that there will be a crossover between the desktop Windows Vista and Windows 7 solutions.
