The interweaving of fashion and telecommunication didn't start with LG Prada or Samsung Armani. The first fashion phone has been Nokia 8210, announced by Kenzo and Nokia, which has been launched back in 1999. Recently most fashion companies have announced cell phones as their own accessories and Swiss TAG Heuer, known mostly for their premium watches, also wanted to take part in the fun. Meridiist, costing €3300 EUR, is a completely premium handset which has real leather and stainless steel as materials and some quite low-keyed specs, as it only has a 1.9" QVGA display (240 x 320 pixels) and a 2 megapixel camera. TAG Heuer Meridiist will probably be available in fourteen other countries by the end of the year, after its debut in London.
