Manufacturers and network operators are preparing more and more attractive offers for Christmas. After BlackBerry Storm and Samsung Saga, Verizon Wireless, operator of CDMA networks, has announced another exciting handset. The interesting feature of Samsung Renown is that it doesn't only support CDMA networks, but GSMs as well, which might come in handy related to the Verizon-Vodafone partnership, when roaming abroad. Otherwise the bronze-colored clamshell has average specs: a 2.3", 240 x 320 pixel display, a 2 megapixel camera, microSD slot and a 96 x 96 pixels large external display with 262 thousand colors. The handset, announced on November 19 and launching on December 1, will have an estimated price of $179.99 when signing a contract.
