Although the category of musical phones has been created by Sony Ericsson's Walkman series, the Japanese-Swedish manufacturer didn't really show any innovation lately and the cheap, but competitive alternatives are missing from their offer. Nokia, LG and Samsung have seen that in times of a recession one must launch attractive phones, just like Samsung Trance, pictured below. The South-Korean handset has only a 2.1", 176 x 220 pixels large display and a 1.3 megapixel camera, but there is nothing to complain about in terms of music, as it has a Bang&Olufsen ICEpower amplifier, 1 GB of internal memory, a microSDHC card slot, stereo Bluetooth support, a standard 3.5 mm headset jack and a GPS receiver. The handset, coming in black and red, costs only 50 dollars (with subscription).
