Smartphones were for a long time a gadget for people with a considerable buget, but after the Finnish manufacturer's decrease of prices, Samsung too is preparing to conquer the lower segment of the market. There is nothing special about the i200 – it is a threadbare candybar, featuring 3G connectivity, a conventional keypad, 2 Megapixel camera, Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard, advanced HSDPA data transfer capabilities and a microSD memory expansion slot. It would be foolish to expect such luxury features like built-in GPS or WiFi, but they could have included at least stereo Bluetooth. The handset also comes with an unusual screen diagonal of 2.3 inches, and QVGA resolution. The i200, with a size of 117.7x50.8x11.8 mm, is due this spring, no word on its price, but, it is said to slip below 200 Euro. Probably, some will find this solution of certain interest, as it seems to be a relatively cheap WM-powered smartphone, and its price tag is not of the least importance.
