The Samsung brand has first been a synonym of clamshell phones and then for a couple of years sliders have been the dominant phones on their product palette, and now the touchscreen seems to be an inevitable feature of South-Korean phones. Samsung A877, pictured below, features a sliding QWERTY keyboard and a 3.2", 800 x 480 pixels large AM-OLED touchscreen display, which even supports HSDPA and has a GPS receiver as well. The handset is not a smartphone, but uses the manufacturer's own closed system and the TouchWiz user interface. The handset, expected by March 29, will be available from American AT&T at a subscription price of 400 dollars.
