Plasma display for mobiles

Hirdetés

If someone has already seen a plasma TV and felt the heat being emitted by it, then he would have never thought to see such a thing in a cell phone. Panasonic, however, has a completely different vision of this technology. The manufacturer has great expectations of the new plasma displays operating at a very low tension of only 1.5 volts. Although most companies forecast the mass use of OLED displays with a large view angle and low consumption, Panasonic thinks that the low-tension plasma has a lower production cost and has its parameters similar to organic displays and they even have a longer life span. The first of these new type of screens are expected to be used in mobile phones, ATMs and HP printers, Hewlett Packard having a two-year long exclusive contract on the market of printers. There is no information regarding the resolution of these new displays.
