Probably most of you are familiar with the name Polaroid, as they are the ones who created the series of cameras that printed pictures immediately, so it had immediate effect. Recently announced Polaroid PoGo printer is not special only because it's the smallest printer on the market, but also because it's based on a completely new technology. The point of the ZINK (Zero INK) printing procedure is that the tiny printer uses no ink, but heat impulses to recolor the small crystal particles on the special paper. This solution reminds us of the classical heat-paper printing, but in this case we can print completely colored, glossy pictures. The small printer can create prints of 76.2 x 50.8 mm in size (without borders). It can receive data through USB cable or Bluetooth, from a PictBrdige compatible phone. The printer, that is coming in July, will cost $150 USD, while a 10-pack of photo paper will have a price of $4 USD, the 30-pack having a price of $10 USD.
