Neonode N2, pictured below, is based on Windows CE, weighs only 60 grams and it has been reviewed by us as well. The phone brought a highly customizable and innovative solution, but GPRS is outdated in means of data transfer and its high price is no good in case of a completely unknown brand. The Swedish Neonode AB, established in 2004, is the subsidiary of American Neonode and it seems to have given up business and after six months of unsuccessful financial and expansion maneuvers they have initiated bankruptcy proceeding. Per Bystedt, the CEO of the subsidiary, has emphasized that they still believe in the platform created by the company and in the technologies it used, but in the current financial situation they cannot continue their work. Neonode N2 cannot really compete nowadays with similarly priced models of the aggressive mobile phone market, so if the headquarters won't come up with a breakthrough soon, they might share the fate of the subsidiary.
