Of Sony Ericsson's novelties at Mobile World Congress we now present the W980i. At the press conference this clamshell Walkman phone has been presented as the new king of Walkman phones, although we can not find unbelievable developments in it, only the FM transmitter, which is capable of broadcasting on a radio frequency the music played, so we can receive it on a nearby radio and such the amplification can be a quality one. It can be very handy in our car.

W980i has an 8 GB internal memory that can not be expanded. On the cover we can find a 3.2 megapixel camera without autofocus and that's about the end of the downsides. The W890i comes with and HP-77 headset, but we don't need even that for the FM radio as the receiver is now under the cover. The interface of the music player has been updated a bit, now the graphics too show the chosen equalizer setting and the Shake Control function is here too. This also means that when browsing media files the screen turns based on the device's position.
