The freshly announced GM730 hasn't been mentioned at the LG press conference, but it has turned out that it is based on Windows Mobile and has the new S-Class UI user interface. We have visited the manufacturer's booth to have a look at what does this mean.
The handset, as opposed to the transparent GM900, has been placed on the wall, and it was even a functional one. It's another thing that the ladies at the press reception desk had no idea whether it has Windows Mobile 6.1 or 6.5 on it, so we have looked it up on the phone: 6.1, and it will probably not be be upgradable. The greatest disappointment has been the S-Class UI, a it is a simple Today plugin, so we have no 3D contact list, or the really good features, there is only the touch main menu, but that's rather slow too, to say the least. Yeah, probably GM730 won't be the revolution for the Windows Mobile platform.
