LG and Samsung are launching very serious weapons in the war of touchscreen phones. After LG Vu, Glyde and Voyager models we now have VX9700 Dare, pictured below. The device has no conventional keypad, but there is a large and comfortable virtual QWERTY keyboard for text entry on its huge WQVGA (400 x 240 pixels) screen. Besides these, it has a 3.2 megapixel camera, a conventional 3.5 mm headset connector and a microSDHC card slot. The phone, designed for Verizon, has no full specs available yet, but according to sources it is going to be officially announced in July.
