LG: Decreasing sales, increasing income

Hirdetés

After Nokia and Sony Ericsson LG has also reported about its last quarter results, which is characterized by a powerful duality. Although the manufacturer has increased its price income from mobile phone sales to 3.589 billion dollars (by 29.9 percent, compared to the last quarter, and by 40.8 percent compared to the same period last year), they still had to report a setback. While the Korean manufacturer managed to sell 27.7 million cell phones in the last quarter, in the July-September period they have sold only 23 million LG phones, which is a 17 percent fall, alhtough its true that compared to the same period last year this is a 5 percent increase. The reason of the decreasing sales is the decreasing market of India and other emerging countries. The manufacturer still has no need to worry, as Secret, Viewty and other QWERTY handsets have increasing sales and these make up 11.5 percent of the total sales revenue.
