The name of Swedish TAT (The Astonishing Tribe) might sound familiar to many of you, as their Kastor interface with advanced multimedia features and visual elements has been covered many times before. This interface is interesting not only because its plastic design, but also because it handles resources in a more efficient manner. Kastor UI won't only be a package that can be installed separately, but it will be an integral part of next-gen Symbian Series 60 smartphones. Otherwise solutions from TAT are currently available on Sony Ericsson, Samsung and Motorola phones too, but we can also see their work on Google's Android interface. Of course there are some questions regarding the matter. The unified Symbian interface, coming in 2010, will surely put and end to Series 60 too, so it is not clear how will the operating system will include the new user interface.
