Google made the latest, 3.0.1, version of Google Maps available for both Windows Mobile and Symbian devices. The new edition brings fixes for lots of bugs, and it can be downloaded directly with the phone from m.google.com/maps. A new feature for Symbian devices is that if automatic position sharing is enabled in Google Latitude, then it will be kept on after powering the device down and rebooting it. When updating friends' position data it is necessary to share our data as well, and when exchanging photos now we can instantly take a picture with the handset's camera. The new software won't let the display turn off during navigation. The Windows Mobile version, besides bringing these features, became more stable, the software's startup problems have been solved and viewing the profiles of certain friends' won't make the device hang up.
