We have previously reported about Microsoft launching Windows Mobile 6.5 in Q3, along with an online application store. The first WM 6.5 handset is already available, although its origins are far from perfect. The handset, based on the Huawei platform and using HTC Touch Viva's design, has a 460 MHz processor, a 2.8", 240 x 320 pixels large touchscreen, WLAN support, a 3.2 megapixel camera and EDGE support. The device, having a stolen exterior and interior, comes at a price of only $161 USD, and even though it's not legal, it's still the first commercially available Windows Mobile 6.5 handset.
