RIM announced its latest handset, BlackBerry Bold, that will be very attractive for most businessmen due to its features. The device has a 624 MHz CPU, full QWERTY keyboard and a 480 x 320 pixel resolution HVGA display, that, as opposed to previous rumors, is not a touchscreen. Besides the 128 MB of Flash it also has 1 GB of internal memory, which can be fruther expanded with a microSDHC card. Supporting HSDPA and WLAN, the phone has a full featured browser with a view adjusted to the display. Controlling is made easy thanks to the trackball and document handling is possible with the pre-installed DataViz Documents to Go software package. The GPS recevier and the 2 megapixel camera with a flash are of course both here, the camera being capable of recording videos too. The new BlackBerry Media Sync application can easily sync with iTunes. The advanced media player supports DivX, XviD, H.264 and WMV3 video formats besides the popular music files. The new BlackBerry Bold has a 1500 mAh battery, a size of 144 x 66 x 14 mm, weighs 133 grams and is expected to hit stores this summer.
