Canada-based Puretracks, biggest digital music provider in North America and partner of Universal, Sony BMG, Warner and EMI, has unveiled its online music store for RIM’s BlackBerry smartphones. The service will offer tracks in AAC/AAC+ DRM-free formats. The company has teamed up with Magnet Mobile Media to create the Puretracks Mobile Edition portal. It is accessible from all BlackBerry Pearl, BlackBerry Curve and BlackBerry 8800 smartphones. The company had a presentation of Puretracks Mobile Edition on March 12, the full version being launched at CTIA Wireless. This BlackBerry online store will be available in the US first with Canada and other countries following later.
