Introduction
I’d like to begin with mentioning two success-phones in order to help the reader position B100. The first is Nokia 1112, of which I think that I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that it has managed to become one of the best sold Nokia phones. The other is Motorola F3, which, up to the present day, stirs controversial opinions from users; it’s enough to check a forum that covers this handset.
Samsung B100 tries to compete with this couple, starting with a price that is just a tiny bit more, but it also has a colored display. This segment will always be popular, and although there isn’t such a huge profit on these devices than on a pack of B&O Serenatas, but the number of phones sold is much more than the number of more expensive phones sold.
Manufacturers usually make cheap handsets by taking an older phone, design a basic case for it and they launch it, or they start designing from scratch and take the needs of the target users in consideration, and in this situation they hopefully create something unique. Nokia 1112 is made by the first principle, while F3 is based on the second. B100 follows the path of Nokia, we can see older features in a nice little handset, and with this it already supersedes its Finnish competitor, since the design is really great.
The phone, supplied by XXL GSM, came in a really small box, and even before opening it I knew that the list of features won’t take up 3-4 pages in the manual. There is nothing in the box besides the phone and a charger, there is not even a bonus headset included.
