Introduction, packaging
There is no doubt that amongst leading mobile phone manufacturers Nokia has the best marketing machinery, but I still cannot understand the model numbering introduced with the 3110 Classic. I’m holding in my hands the 6500 Classic provided by XXL GSM, which – in my opinion – doesn’t resemble either in its exterior or in its interior the phone giving its name – though its no surprise in the case of the latter, since the predecessor appeared quite a long time ago. Strange.
After being properly amazed by this, I started looking at the manufacturer’s website, more precisely at the page about the topic of our test, where I have found such pompous texts like The fusion of form and function, or the even more bumptious Design perfection, but the Capture moments beautifully with the 2 megapixel camera caption wasn’t less charming either. So there is quite an amount of idiotic marketing, thank God that this time the phone is good indeed.
The phone’s box is unusually small for a Nokia product, the manufacturer’s stuff from similar categories usually come in packs twice as large as this – is it possible that the Finnish have lured over some people from Samsung? Therefore I have been overjoyed that it found room in my bag without problem, but upon unpacking I have sadly noticed that besides the charger I have only found a data cable and a stereo headset (HS-82), whereas they could also have packed a good quality case with such a beauty.
