Tiny Sony notebook with 3G and GPS

Hirdetés

Sony, having serious financial difficulties, has announced at CES its much rumored mini notebook, which is much smaller than a netbook, but it has tons of features. The only 245.1 x 119.9 x 19.8 mm large Lifestyle PC, having a weight as low as 635 grams, is so compact since it has an extra-wide, 8" display with a resolution of 1600 x 768 pixels and the lack of a standard touchpad. There is of course no optical disc drive on the device, but it features a 1.33 GHz Intel Atom CPU, 2 GB of RAM, 60 GB of hard drive space or 64/128 GB SSD, built-in 3G support, GPS receiver with navigation software that requires no data transfer, WLAN, Bluetooth and LAN connectivity, MSPro/SD card slot, a webcam, a microphone, speakers and a Windows Vista Home operating system. The small device has an uptime of 4 hours with a charge, but a battery providing 8 hours of battery life is available optionally. The notebook with a 60 GB hard drive, weighing 680 grams, costs 900 USD, while the one equipped with a 64 or 128 GB SSD (this has a weight of 635 grams) has a price tag of 1200 and 1500 dolars respectively.
