The launch of Nokia 5800 XpressMusic in America hasn't been such a success as the manufacturer would have liked it, as a couple of days after the launch more users from the Chicago and New York area have reported that the handset doesn't handle 3G networks properly, it frequently switches back to the slower 2G. According to a spokesperson from the Finnish manufacturer the bug has been reported in these two areas, no similar issues have been observed in Dallas or Miami and the bug doesn't affect the European and the Asian variants. According to unofficial internal sources the reason of the problem is not the network, as with an internal, modified firmware Nokia 5800 has been functioning correctly. If the rumors are correct then we probably won't have to wait a lot more for the official firmware, which should fix these 3G reception problems.
