The Symbian Series 60 platform has been using QVGA (240 x 320) resolution for a long time and although there have been a couple of Nokia smartphones with a 352 x 416 screen, those somehow disappeared. Touchscreen support and VGA (480 x 640) resolution have been missing for a long time from Nokia smartphones, but the latest edition of the Series 60 platform, called Series 60 Touch or maybe even Series 60 5th edition, will make up for these. The user interface screenshots you can see below are not yet from a phone but from a theme editor application, but the redesigned interface is still clearly visible. We hope that the new interface will soon be officially announced, along with the first handsets that use this.
