The beta version of Nokia Photos 1.5 is now available on the Nokia Beta Labs site. The application is capable of importing images and videos from most Series 60 smartphones, but in case of Nseries phones the new software can convert the videos on a computer to a format that is supported by the phone and it can resize images with one click to match screen size. Imported images can now be displayed as a map besides the standard album view. This is of course available only if the images have GPS coordinates. If these are not present the photos can be manually placed on the map and after that these pictures can be searched like Nokia Maps. The new version has increased compatibility with the Nokia Ovi online service, so images and videos can be shared with others in a matter of moments.
