The handset, based on Symbian Series 60 Touch (S60 5.0), has a 3.5", 640 x 360 touchscreen, a sliding QWERTY keyboard, a 5 megapixel Carl-Zeiss camera capable of recording 640 x 480 pixel large movies, HSDPA support, WLAN and GPS, digital compass, stereo Bluetooth support, built-in stereo speakers, a microSDHC slot, 32 GB of internal memory and a standard 3.5 mm audio jack output. N97, equipped with a 1500 mAh battery, provides up to 37 hours of music playback or 4.5 hours of video playback. It is the first Finnish touchscreen phone to have full N-Gage support and a widget system that is easy to use with fingers. Nokia N97 comes with the latest edition of Nokia Maps, which features satellite images, 3D views of buildings from 216 large cities, and thanks to the built-in compass it provides highly comfortable pedestrian navigation. The 117.2 x 55.3 x 15.9 mm large (18.25 mm thickness at the camera) Nokia N97, weighing 150 grams is expected to launch early 2009 at a net price of €550 EUR.
