Nokia N79: 29 hours of music and 5 megapixels

Although the rivals have already launched handsets with an 8 megapixel camera, the Finnish manufacturer is still expanding its 5 megapixel "army" for now. Nokia N79 is the successor of the highly successful N72 and N73, providing the best of Nseries in an elegant design and a slim, classic case. The 2.4", 240 x 320 pixels large display, the 5 megapixel Carl-Zeiss camera with double LED flash and lens cover can record 640 x 480 pixels large videos at 30 fps, HSDPA, WLAN , GPS, stereo Bluetooth and the standard 3.5 mm sound- and TV-out and the stereo speakers are almost a default for Nseries models, but the FM transmitter and the 29 hours of continuous music playback are available only on the latest models. In order to provide a stylish design, N79's cover can be changed, and it even uses Xpress-on Smart cover, which means that the menu color changes according to the cover's color.

Three of the covers (light-sea blue, espresso brown, olive green and coral red) are available in the base package. Besides the style, music and photography N-Gage games are also supported. The supplied 4 GB memory card includes the demos of Asphalt 3, Hooked On: Creatures of the deep, Worlds series of poker, Block breaker deluxe, Tetris, Space impact, System Rush, Brain Challenge, Mile High Pinball, Snakes Subsonic, Sims 2: Pets, FIFA 08, Midnight pool, Reset generation and Bounce, one of these being offered for free download. The 110 x 49 x 15 mm large Nokia N79 weighs 97 grams and will be available for an estimated price of €350 EUR, possibly in October.
