After the long silence Philips has finally thought of Europe again, even though these thoughts manifest themselves in the form of phones with a reduced list of features. Philips 198 and 199 are twins intended for the market of cheap handsets. The phones' design makes us remember Sony Ericsson J110 and J120, moreover the difference between the two models is the same: the highger-numbered one has FM radio too. The handsets with an 800 mAh battery have a size of 99.5 x 42 x 13.5 mm, sport a 128 x 128 pixels large cSTN display, GPRS and MP3 ringtone support and they have a miniUSB connector. The smaller one is expected to be priced around 64 EUR, while the larger one should have a price tag of 70 EUR.
